How amazing would it be…
to have a child’s heart forever? To be able to love unconditionally, to give selflessly, to always have the love for life that you seem to lose as you grow into adulthood? I thought about that tonight. I met a girl who wants to create an Operation Save Our Generation project. As I’m sure you’re all aware, the generations are going downhill, and we’re not doing anything about it. Instead of the brady bunch or the partridge family, we now have jersey shore and the real world……..And it shouldn’t be the real world. What’s sad is that that show reflects our real world. We’re ruthless to each other, we love to party, and we’re losing our ability to want to make a difference. As a child, we all wanted to do that. We wanted to be a president, or a cop, or a firefighter, or a warrior. And you may or may not accomplish those goals, but when you’re younger, it seems like that stuff makes so much more of a difference. When you grow up, it’s just a career. There isn’t much we can do to change our world right now, but there is the chance to be a part of something greater than ourselves. Join a non-profit organization. Volunteer. Be the change. Set the example of what you want to see others do. Because unless we all start trying to make a positive impact on our world, the quality of generations to come will continue to decline. And that is an unfathomable thought. So at least for one day, at least one hour, try to do something positive that might make an impact on someone else, and let’s try to get this domino effect going.
Update/ Life in a nutshell.
This isn’t going to be interesting, so I suggest not reading it. I just need to let out a rant, so………..I got arrested for the first time in like 3 or 4 years for a fucking public intox/underage possession charge. They found me on my sidewalk in front of my house laying down puking on myself and yelling belligerently at everything that did or did not move. I was a mess. Me and sobriety don’t work out. On top of that, I have to testify in a rape trial, and that kind of sucks. It was a couple of my friends that got raped (around my age) and my old friend that raped them (who’s like fucking 40). Shit is just way fucked up in my town. Instead of having a welcome to medina sign, it should say welcome to the next Jersey Shore. I’m somewhere between bettering myself or going on a whiskey fueled killing spree. My ex’s suck, women in general suck, I’m broke due to my extreme liking for Jack Daniels, and I can’t go back to the military until december. Rant is over.

Avocado Fries
- oil for frying
- 2 Avocados
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1 and 1/3 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin
Cilantro Lemon Dipping Sauce
- 5 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- Juice from 1/2 of Lemon
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, lemon pepper, salt and cumin. Set it aside. Cut the avocados in half and then slice them vertically into 4 inch by 1 inch wedges. Set them aside. Heat the vegetable oil to 335 degrees Fahrenheit in a large frying pan, adding enough oil so that the oil is about 3 to four inches deep. Dredge the avocado slices in the breadcrumb mixture, then in the egg mixture, then in the breadcrumb mixture again. Place them in the hot oil and fry them for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon or tongs, and set them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. Allow them to dry for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a serving tray and serve them immediately with the Cilantro Lemon Dipping Sauce.
- For the Cilantro Lemon Dipping Sauce, place the mayonnaise, cilantro, and lemon juice in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy in texture.

My birthday is on the 22nd, and Skynyrd and Korn is playing. Skynyrd is in youngstown, Korn is in columbus. Tickets are pretty much the same price, same distance……….I need to figure out which one I’m going to.
